Bright, indirect light is best suitable, however some variants of this plant can tolerate low-medium light levels as well. Water when the top 1-2″ of soil has dried, careful to not get water into the new foliage. This plant prefers dryer soil as compared to soggier soil; don’t overwater, as it is prone to root rot.
